2.7-liter TurboMax Overview
Introduced as a replacement for the outgoing 4.3-liter EcoTec3 V6 engine, the 2.7-liter TurboMax engine delivers diesel-like torque and ample efficiency for daily commutes or high-load scenarios. 2.7-liter TurboMax models produce up to 310 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque, outshining the 285 horsepower and 305 pound-feet of torque from the previously standard V6 engine. Plus, the TurboMax powertrain delivers a maximum towing capacity of up to 9,500 pounds to help you accomplish your goals on the job or at the lake near Bullhead City.
Why Choose the 2.7-liter TurboMax engine?
Thanks to a fully-forged bottom end and Dual-Volute turbocharger, the 2.7-liter TurboMax is built for the long haul. Starting with the 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, the 2.7-liter TurboMax engine comes standard with a 5-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty, delivering long-lasting capability and performance that you can trust. And while the optional 5.3-liter EcoTec3 V8 engine produces an additional 45 horsepower, the 2.7-liter TurboMax cranks out 430 pound-feet of torque at just 3,000 rpm, while the 5.3-liter V8 only achieves 383 pound-feet of torque at 4,100 rpm.
